The world of blockchain innovations and DApps is constantly changing and evolving with new people, developments and products to watch every week.

With this in mind, here at Horizon Globex HQ, we decided to compile a ‘Who to Watch’ list for you to keep an eye on and if there is anyone we missed, please let us know in the comments.

  • Of course, it would be remiss of us not to include ourselves as being at the coalface of bringing blockchain developments to the fore, which can have a real impact on the developing world. Just take a look at the Talketh app or visit talketh.io for more information and if you are looking at ways of protecting your cryptocurrency investments from the recent US Dollar drop, check out our article here on Medium.
  • Another one to check out is Pigzbe – Put simply, this is a hand-held piggy bank for children to teach them about banking and money, all while using the technology supported and created by the blockchain. Suitable for children aged six and upwards, this is a nifty way of introducing children to the idea of the blockchain in a family friendly way, which will impact positively on their lives and understanding of finances as they grow older.
  • Gameflip – This is backed by Silicon Valley and allows gamers to transact any type of digital goods using their platform. It is going really well so far and already has three million members, so it is certainly one to keep an eye on.
  • Lucidium Health – We have spoken before about the impact that blockchain technology is making on the world of medicine and healthcare (you can read our previous blog on the topic here), and Lucidium Health solidifies that, as it brings the blockchain into the realm of clinical trials. According to industry research, more than 70% of clinical trial participants drop out of trials before they finish. What this technology does is that it uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to match the most suitable candidates to the trial to combat this high drop-out rate.
